Waseem Mehdi Syed | Chairman | Independent Director
Mr. Mehdi has over 40 years of experience and expertise in Financial Sector, Corporate Sector, Investment & Development Banking, Branch Banking, and Capital Market as well as he has a vast experience in corporate governance, policy formulation and development, project appraisal implementation, monitoring & evaluation, restructuring and collaboration with international agencies. He is also Independent Director & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Summit Bank Limited.
Mr. Kamal Ahmed | Non-Executive Director
He has a first class record in academic qualifications holds Master degree from Karachi University, Diploma in Banking (DAIBP) Institute of Banking in Pakistan. Obtained Second Position in order of merit, Bookkeeping & Accountancy Intermediate, London Chamber of Commerce.
He had worked with High Court of Sindh as Member Finance / Financial & Management Advisor and NDFC (financial Institution) as Chairman and in Senior positions, was looking after the entire Operational and Managerial activities of NDFC including Treasury, Banking, Branch Operation, Capital Market, IT, Loaning functions including appraisal implementation and recovery, Projects Finance, Admin & Human Recourses Divisions etc.
Mr. Kamal Ahmed has more than 30 years experience of working in insurance sector of Pakistan. He is currently holding a directorship in Chubb Insurance Pakistan Limited (formerly ACE Insurance Limited) and is also looking after its compliance and secretarial matters. Being an insurance professional, he has good exposure to the market and have a fair idea of risk profiles of various business sectors/entities operating in the country. Mr. Ahmed is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and has completed Director’s Training Program from Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Mr. Habibullah Khilji | Independent Director
Mr. Khilji has more than 37 years of experience in senior positions at various Public Sector Organizations. His experience mainly includes working in electricity utility services, transmission, distribution and engineering related fields i.e. operation, maintenance, construction, metering as well as protection etc. developed management skills efficiently while maintaining high performance. He completed academic degree in 1972. He is member of Mehran University Engineering & Technology (Jamshoro) SENATE. He was member and Acting Chairman of NEPRA-Islamabad. He also made significant achievements in his professional career e.g. certificate of Graduation Award by WAPDA, excellence Achievement Awarded 2009 by Mehran University Alumni Association and Token of Remembrance by National convention 2009 etc.
Mrs. Rukhsana Narejo | Non-Executive Director
Mrs. Narejo has more than 18 years of diverse experience earned through working in Banking, Asset Management and Brokerage. She also has been part of ADB team for Pension Provident Fund reforms. She is an MBA and qualified CFA Charter holder. She is associated with the Sindh Bank since June 2011 and is part of the Bank’s Treasury team on various positions. Before joining Sindh Bank, Mrs. Narejo has versatile experience of working with Asian Development Bank, National Fullerton Asset Management Company, Standard Chartered Bank, BMA Asset Management Company & Crescent Capital Management Limited. Mrs. Narejo has also contributed to development of financial industry through her voluntarily contribution to CFA society as Director on Pakistan Chapter.
Mr. Rehan Anjum | Non-Executive Director
Mr. Rehan Anjum is serving at the Board of Sindh Modaraba as non-executive director. He had worked in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer for Sindh Leasing Company Limited (SLCL) which has now merged with Sindh Bank Limited. He is now serving Sindh Bank Limited as a departmental head and contributing his experience of leasing sector.
He is a qualified Chartered Accountant having more than 20 years of work experience across a wide spectrum of finance functions at senior levels in the field of finance and risk management in the Financial Services industry. Before joining SLCL, he was working with Standard Chartered Leasing Limited (Pakistan) as CFO & Company Secretary. Prior to that, he was running his own financial consultancy and advisory firm.
